When I was in Sweden this summer, I encountered some of the most beautiful traditional arts I have ever seen in those of the indigenous Sami people of Scandinavia. The Samis are known for their exquisite work with reindeer hide, reindeer antler, and silver thread, which they work into beautiful embroidered leather bracelets, such as this one:
One of the friends I made while there is Sami, and she taught me about the art of creating Sami bracelets. I gave it a shot, and with a little practice, have begun to offer them alongside the hand-bound leather journals in my Etsy shop,
Badon Hill.
